Dualtech Movement Sensors
Some situations may require the installation of a ‘Dualtech’ movement sensor in a conservatory or garage or a ‘Shock’ sensor in window and door frames.
If required, we would price these devices separately.
If you're considering a wire-free burglar alarm, give us a call for advice or to arrange a convenient day and time to conduct a home survey and demonstration (Hull 712495).
We don’t expect you to commit yourself immediately, and you will not be under any obligation.
We will give you advice and explain in easy terms what the system can do. We will then follow this up with a written quotation and a written summary of the proposed installation.

Quality Alarm Equipment
We use only quality alarm equipment that is designed to be user-friendly.
Our keypads have code or key tag operations. The single-action key tag operation is used to set or unset the alarm. For example, producing the key tag to the keypad starts the exit timer, and the setting begins; producing the key tag again un-sets the alarm.
The operation is simple: When leaving the house, present the key tag to the control panel or enter the user code and wait for the exit tone to start. Then, leave the building via your usual exit route. When the exit time has elapsed, the system will set, and all detection devices will become active.
Bedtime operation may vary depending on your particular system design. The system can be disarmed by presenting the key tag to the control panel or entering the user code. Unlike DIY wire-free alarms, this is a quality British-made professional system that will give many years of service.

Dummy Bell Box
For an additional £40 Plus VAT (£48), we install an identical dummy bell box to the rear of the property or to a detached garage/outbuilding.

Alarm Key Tags
We supply your system with 2 key tags, but should you want more, we can supply and programme additional key tags for £15 each Pus VAT (£18).

Smart Phone Alarm App
We install a Wi-Fi communicator within the panel for an additional £40p.a. Plus VAT (£48) (free of charge for the first 12 months).
This facility gives the user full control of the intruder alarm system via a dedicated APP on their smartphone.
This system will notify the user of alarm activations and mains power loss.
The user also has the means to set, unset, and view activations and logs.
The smartphone app option is only available for maintained systems.

Dualtech Movement Sensor
For an additional £90 Plus VAT (£108), we install a ‘Dualtech’ movement sensor in a garage or conservatory.
Garages and Conservatories are poor environments for PIR movement sensors, and they could cause unwanted false alarms.
Dualtech movement sensors are specially designed for poor environments, incorporating a combined PIR and microwave sensor.
The combined sensor will only trigger an alarm output when both PIR and Microwave technologies activate simultaneously.

Shock Sensor
For an additional £90 Plus VAT (£108), we can install a perimeter shock sensor.
If perimeter detection is preferred over internal space detection, we can install shock sensors on windows and doors.
This is often specified where animals have the run of the property, and internal detection proves difficult. (£90 per shock sensor Plus VAT (£108).

SSAIB is NOT a trade association, SSAIB is a Certification Body. Certification Bodies do not have ‘members’. Companies cannot simply join these organisations by paying a fee. SSAIB has rigorous standards of assessment that ensure quality and reliability, thus only reputable companies will be listed.
THE TECHNICAL BIT
The control panel, detectors and bell box have two-way radio communications, working on a DTI approved frequency of 868MHz.
The control panel is mains voltage operated with a rechargeable battery back-up. Losing mains power is never a problem, the battery back-up will continue to operate the system for up to 14 hours or until the mains power is restored. The battery will be recharged back to capacity on restoring the mains power.
Every device on the system has its own power source. Each detector and bell box has its own long-life lithium battery. The technology of the devices ensures a long battery life, typically 2 years for detectors and bell boxes.
If you're on a maintenance agreement (service plan) with us we schedule battery changes over the coming years and low batteries will never become a problem. You may wish not to have your system maintained, in which case be sure to schedule a battery change every 2 years. Should a battery run low, the control panel will display a battery low fault and the device's location.

City Alarms attended my house alarm on Friday as it had died a few days into the start of the lockdown. Chris worked effectively, efficiently, and tidily to resolve the problems. He had to fit a new battery, detector, and bell box and make a repair, all carried out professionally.
Throughout his visit, he wore a face mask and told us, upon entering our house, that he had just sanitised his hands.
